Double Olympic gold medalist Daley Thompson visited a Lambeth primary school to open a new playground.
The former athlete, who won his medals in the decathlon in the 1980 and 1984 Olympic Games, inspected the new facilities at Rosendale primary school.
They include a multi-use games area, a wooden adventure trail, two climbing frames and an outdoor classroom.
Wendy Jacobs, executive headteacher at the school in West Dulwich, said: “I am delighted with the new playground, and so are the children.
“It will give the children more opportunities to improve their sporting skills as well as providing more activities during playtimes and after school clubs.”
