Schoolchildren have donned crazy and colourful hats to help raise money for victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Pupils from Tadworth Primary School supported the Hats for Haiti fundraising event, raising over £500 for people affected by the earthquake last month.
The children decided to take part in the fundraising event because one of their colleagues has family in Haiti and they wanted to raise money for the earthquake’s emergency fund.
Last week, they learned more in assembly about the tragedy. The money raised will go towards plastic sheets to provide basic shelter for families, buckets to help families carry clean water and mosquito kits to protect children from disease.
