A film and book documenting a large collection of Aboriginal art that can be found in Merton has been created with help from pupils at two Wimbledon schools.
Worpole Road-based Domestic and General (D&G), which owns the collection, was inspired to commission a project to document the art in print and film.
Pupils from Wimbledon Chase primary and Raynes Park High School joined artist Jane Bailey to create Abororiginal-inspired pieces, and attended the office for the launch of the book Dreamtime Stories and premiere of the film Fitzroy Crossing to SW19.
A selection of the children’s artwork will be displayed permanently in Worpole Road.
