Award winning chef Tom Aikens will visit two Kingston schools to encourage students to prepare simple and nutritious meals.
The chef, who holds two Michelin stars, was due to run hands-on practical cooking sessions with pupils at Tiffin Girls’ School today, Friday, March 5, and at Green Lane Primary School on Wednesday, March 10.
The visits are part of the School Food Matters campaign’s Cooking Ideas project, and campaign director Stephanie Wood said: “The success of the Richmond sessions created a buzz so Kingston schools were quick off the mark.”
Mr Aikens said: “I am very excited to be working with School Food Matters – to be able to show children the fun and healthy side of cooking and that eating a healthy, well balanced diet is essential to their age group.”
