Cranmere Primary School was transformed into a menagerie on Monday, March 22, with the visit of Miller’s Ark Mobile Farm.
Pupils aged four to seven had the chance to get up close to the animals, which included geese, ducks, lambs, pigs and a donkey. A lone sheepdog kept watch over his fellow animals.
Gillian Freeman, Cranmere’s headteacher, said: “Letting children enjoy such close contact with animals is a great way to encourage an understanding and respect for them which is why we were delighted to welcome Miller’s Ark to the school.
“All the children were so excited at the animals being on their playing field and couldn’t wait to spend some time with them.”
