A Wimbledon student has gone to the top of class after picking up a national award.
Mary Wing To has won a City and Guilds’ Medals for Excellence Award. Ms Wing To was given the honour, which was handed over last Thursday at a ceremony in central London, for her outstanding performance in her City and Guilds’ Level 3 Certificate in Saddlery.
The student, who is enrolled at Capel Manor College in Enfield, was one of just 118 people across the country to win the prize.
Mary said: “I feel honoured to have won such a prestigious award.
"My qualification has given me the crucial skills and confidence needed to push the boundaries of design, and has made a big difference in the way the industry recognises me and my work.”
