Surrey County Council has launched its new programme of adult learning courses in Esher and Molesey.
The 2,000 courses cover a wide range of subjects, catering to all interests. These include calligraphy, photography, pilates, Italian and many more.
The new programme comes following a 10 per cent increase of adults enrolling on courses in the last academic year, reaching more than 10,000 people in 2009-10.
Surrey County Council cabinet member for community service Denise Saliagopoulos said: “It’s wonderful that so many of our residents are taking advantage of the range of courses available. This new programme offers people the chance to learn a language, keep themselves fit or just try something they wouldn't normally do.”
The autumn/spring programme starts in the last two weeks of September. For more information, visit surreycc.gov.uk/adultlearning or call 03456 009009.
