Teenagers from a Tulse Hill school have set their sights on a legal career after experiencing work as barristers.
Cindy LaMontagne, Tosin Olukoga and Vanessa Larsh, all 16 and from St Martin in the Fields High School for Girls, gained work experience at law firm 1 Gray’s Inn after winning a Lambeth schools’ debating contest.
Cindy was inspired by the experience and is now considering a career in law.
She said: “We learned a great deal about law and had a really interesting experience. I hope after doing my A levels I will be able to study law.”
David Malone, who is head of chambers at the firm and a former Lambeth councillor, promised work experience to all future debate contest winners.
