Summer holiday play schemes are being launched across the borough.
Lambeth Council is holding a variety of events for children aged 11-19 as part of its Summer University and Holiday Activity Programme 2011.
Kids can try their hand at everything from sports coaching to performing arts, jewellery making to photography.
Youth mayor David Oyedele said: "There's definitely something to capture all age groups and interests in every corner of the borough. "We all seem to remember the negative things that happen during the summer, but as Youth Mayor I feel it would be fantastic for us as young people to get out, get involved and make this a summer we will never forget for the right reasons."
Councillor Pete Robbins, the council’s cabinet member for children and young people’s services, said: “Lambeth Holiday Activities offer a great range of exciting opportunities for children and young people. I hope as many families as possible take advantage of what’s on offer across the borough during the school holiday."
The programme runs from July 25 to September 2, with courses on the Summer University programme held between July 25 and August 19.
