Schoolchildren raised hundreds of pounds in memory of a classmate who died of cystic fybrosis (CF).
Friends of Alicia Roa, 10, collected £760 through a cake, arts and crafts sale.
Alicia, a Year 5 pupil at St Cecilia's school, in North Cheam died on May 17 after a lifelong struggle against the disease.
She had been in and out of Queen Mary's Hospital for Children in Carshalton and Great Ormond Street hospital.
Classmates chose to give their funds to help treat other children at Queen Mary's with CF.
Year 5 teacher Emma De Gray said: "Alicia was really popular, she was always smiling and never let what was happening to her get her down.
"The other children wanted to do something in her memory and to help others."
Alicia's mother Catherine Roa was also at the school on Tuesday, to see a cheque be handed to St Mary's Hospital's CF specialist nurse, Lin McGraw.
Miss McGraw said: "On behalf of the patients and staff at Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, I would like to say a huge thank you to the pupils of St Cecilia's Primary School.
"Their donation is incredibly generous and will go straight to buying new equipment for our wards.
"It was an honour to be presented with the donation and to meet the wonderful pupils who worked so hard to raise this money. We are truly touched - thank you."
CF is a common recessive genetic disease which affects the entire body, causing progressive disability and often early death.
