An award winning children’s author has challenged Sutton’s youngsters to read more this summer.
Joe Craig, author of the Jimmy Coates series, visited Sutton Central Library on Friday, July 5, to launch the service’s Story Lab summer reading challenge.
Children aged between four and 12 are being urged to sign up to get rewards for every book they read, with medals and certificates for those who read six books over the summer holidays.
This will allow them to enter the colouring and writing competitions, which could then lead on to bigger prizes and a chance to participate in the award ceremony.
If you are interested in participating in the summer reading scheme contact your local library.
