Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has won the 2024 general election, but where is our new prime minister from?
The 61-year-old grew up in the suburban areas of Kent and Surrey.
The lawyer-turned-politician studied at Leeds University and St Edmund Hall, Oxford. Starmer moved to North London and he's called the area home ever since. He gained his knighthood in 2014 for his services to ‘law and criminal justice’, and assumed the role of Labour Party Leader in April 2020.
According to House and Garden, he moved between Archway, Highgate and Stoke Newington, he now lives with his wife Victoria and their two children in Kentish Town. The pair reportedly bought their home in 2004 for around £600,000, and it's roughly doubled in value since.
This Thursday, the country faces a choice.

Keir reportedly also owns seven acres of land in Surrey next to his childhood home, which he inherited in 1996.
The Starmers have many high-profile neighbours in the area. Mega-stars Harry Styles and Benedict Cumberbatch are regularly seen around the Heath, and Labour colleague Ed Miliband apparently lives just down the road.
The area is steeped in history: Karl Marx, Lucien Freud and George Michael are buried in the famous Highgate Cemetery, and Keats House, where John Keats lived and worked, is open for visitors.

He lives there with his wife Victoria Alexander and their two children, a son Toby and a daughter, who has never been publicly named.
Victoria was a solicitor before working in occupational health at the NHS and becoming a governor at her children’s school. After meeting Keir when they were both working as lawyers, the pair tied the knot in 2007.
Taking into account his land, home, law and political career, Sir Keir Starmer has a net worth of approximately £7.7 million.
