A crime scene has been put in place as police investigate the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy in Westminster.
A 17-year-old boy was found injured in Paddington Green just after 1.40pm yesterday (June 19)
Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at 2.15pm.
His next of kin have been informed.
Pictures from the scene show a large police presence and multiple cordons in place.
A yellow and white tarp cover can be seen as forensics investigate the incident.
Police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
No arrests have been made following the incident.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A murder investigation is underway following a stabbing in Westminster.
“Police were called at 1.41pm on Monday, 19 June, to reports of a stabbing in Paddington Green, W2.
“Officers attended the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
“They found a male – believed aged 17 - with a stab wound.
"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 2.15pm.
“Next of kin have been informed.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
"No arrests have been made.
