Sutton United proved no match the young Premier League stars of Chelsea on Tuesday night, going down 4-0.
However, more than 2,500 fans packed Gander Green Lane bringing in extra money for the United coffers – chairman Bruce Elliott estimated the total income from the glamour friendlies against Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham and AFC Wimbledon to be £20,000.
United take on Cambridge United on Saturday – kick off 2pm.
There may have been no Jose Mourinho or Frank Lampard, but Chelsea at Gander Green Lane was still a sight to see.
