Chelsea Ladies took time out in Japan on last night to deliver a coaching clinic for 50 youngsters before continuing their preparations to face Sydney FC later this week.
Children aged between six and 12 joined the squad for some skill sessions in Okayama as the players work towards their debut in the International Women’s Club Championship tomorrow.
Japanese star Yuki Ogimi was the main attraction while England internationals Laura Bassett, Rachel Williams and Eni Aluko were also popular, the club said.
Bassett, who signed for Chelsea from Birmingham Ladies last week, said: "‘It was amazing to see so many when we arrived.
"We knew the event was happening but they were lining up outside which was incredible."
After the session the children posed for photos with the players before watching the remainder of manager Emma Hayes’ training and cheering on their new heroes.
There was also a guest appearance by Chelsea Ladies mascot Bridget the Lioness before an autograph session with the players.
More youngsters from Urayasu FC will be at Wednesday’s game, after being gifted 120 tickets for the match.
