Matt Heeks says the squad can’t wait to get back into action after a week’s break has given them extra time to prepare for the visit of Jersey this Saturday.
The Scots completed a league double over the Islanders in 2014/15, and will be looking for more of the same at the Athletic Ground at the weekend.
The scrum-half admitted the players and coaches have been frustrated with the recent run of results and are all looking to rectify it as soon as possible.
“The boys are all really looking forward to getting back on the pitch this weekend,” said Heeks.
“We know that we have to improve in some aspects of the game and have been working very hard in training to put it right.
"We know that it will be a physical encounter.
"Jersey have a big pack and a back line that have scored some good tries in the opening eight games so we will have to be at our best to get the win."
Heeks has featured in seven of the eight matches so far, and the 27-year-old hoping to make more of an impact as the season goes on.
“It’s great to be involved on a regular basis and hopefully after the break last weekend we all hit the ground running and get back to winning ways," he added.
