Scotland U20 international George Horne will make his second start start for London Scottish tonight and he is intent on making the most of his opportunity, writes Oli Shapley.
The scrum half made his first start for the Scots in last week’s 23-16 win at the Ospreys and was delighted head coach Peter Richards’ men made it two wins from two matches in this season’s British & Irish Cup.
The 20-year-old joined Scottish in early November and is looking for a repeat of his current form at Bristol tonight – when he starts alongside half back partner Oli Grove.
“I’m looking forward to what the next few weeks hold and hopefully we can keep getting positive results in the Championship to go alongside our strong start in the cup,” he said.
“I’m really enjoying my time at Scottish so far. The last couple of weeks have been great to get in to the team and the guys have helped a lot with settling in to the club.”
He added: “It was a really good result in difficult conditions at the Ospreys.
“The forwards were outstanding in the set-piece and gave the backs a great platform to play.
“It’s a shame we couldn’t finish off a few more chances, but it was a great result away from home.”
