London Scottish’s versatile star Jason Harries reckons he has learnt so much in his debut Championship season that he wants to stay around for another season.
The 27-year-old has signed a contract extension that keeps him at the Athletic Ground until the end of next season.
Harries, who plays on the wing or in the centre, has scored seven tries so far this season including a brace and man of the match award against Doncaster Knights last month.
The 27-year-old spent the majority of his club career at Welsh Premiership outfit Carmarthen Quins where he came through the junior ranks, before spending three years with Wales Sevens on the IRB Sevens Circuit.
The 6’3” former Wales Sevens representative said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Scottish.
“I’m delighted to have re-signed with the club, who have big ambitions and are moving forward in the right direction.”
Harries, who spent the majority of his club career at Welsh Premiership outfit Carmarthen Quins where he came through the junior ranks, before spending three years with Wales Sevens on the IRB Sevens Circuit, added: “I have learned a lot in my first year in the Championship and look forward to progressing further next season.”
Head coach Peter Richards said: “Jason has got better as the season has gone on and I’m really pleased for him.
“He has come in to his own in recent weeks on the wing or in the centre, and has definitely been a standout performer so we all look forward to working with him again next season.”
