Dean Smith has paid tribute to midfielder Alan McCormack for his contribution to Brentford's impressive end of season form.
The 32-year-old, whose appearance in last week's 3-1 win over Cardiff City earned him a one-year contract extension, has been an ever present since returning to the starting line up in a 3-0 defeat at QPR.
But the Bees have claimed 16 points from seven games since that reverse culminating in Saturday's 4-1 win at MK Dons care of goals from Sergi Canos, Lasse Vibe, Ryan Woods and skipper Jake Bidwell.
And boss Smith, whose side has won five of their past six Championship outings, believes McCormack's partnership with Nico Yennaris is beginning to flourish.
"Alan McCormack has been getting ribbed by the players for costing us some goals recently," he said at the weekend.
"But our performances and results have lifted since Alan came back. He has become very disciplined.
"We've reigned in his runs forward a bit. And Nico Yennaris alongside him has covered every blade of grass."
Brentford head to Hull City tonight.
