Quins director of rugby John Kingston has admitted the capture of junior World Cup winning full back Aaron Morris is to provide cover for international trio Mike Brown, Marland Yarde and Tim Visser.
The 21-year-old Saracens youngster, who started his career at Bedford Blues, has agreed a switch to the Stoop for next term, having represented England U20s alongside new clubmates Harry Sloan and James Chisholm.
Quins' title hopes suffered during this year's Six Nations and new chief Kingston has moved to avoid a repeat of that happening during his time at the helm.
“Aaron is a highly regarded powerful and dynamic full-back who can also play on the wing," he said.
"He will provide further competition for places across the back three where we consistently lose players to international representation over the course of the season.
“I am delighted he has opted to join Harlequins and I know our supporters will enjoy watching this outstanding young talent.”
