London Scottish head coach Peter Richards has added sopme South African beef to his front row options and is expecting big things next term.
Richards swooped on 26-year-old Coventry hooker Devlin Hope this week asa replacement for London Welsh-bound Adam Kwasnicki.
Devlin has Currie Cup experience with Western Province's provincial side Walke and Richards is looking forward to seeing his all action style take the Championship by storm.
"Devlin is a great prospect and is a ball-playing hooker," he said.
"He has plenty of attacking flair and plays in a similar style to Schalk Brits, giving us a different front row option.
"I'm sure his time in the Currie Cup and with Coventry has prepared him for Championship rugby.”
Scottish returned to pre-season training earlier this month as they prepare to imrove on last term's disappointing campaign.
Also making the switch to the Athletic Ground is London Irish's 25-year-old Premiership A League winning former England U19 prop Jonny Harris.
"Jonny has proven Premiership quality and we are excited to have him," added Richards.
"It's another opportunity for him to establish himself at loosehead with Grant Shiells as well, so we have some great options across the front-row.”
