AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley says Lyle Taylor should be fit for the trip to Northampton Town this weekend.
Taylor limped out in the closing stages of Tuesday night’s 2-1 League One defeat to Scunthorpe United.
However, rather than facing a potential spell on the sidelines, the Dons’ leading marksman is likely to be ready to face the Cobblers.
Ardley said: “Lyle got a touch of cramp, and the second half was being played at such a high intensity that we thought it better to get him out.
AFC WIMBLEDON: Elliott vows to pull his weight and ignite Dons' season
“He played 90 minutes on Saturday, and almost another 90 minutes on Tuesday. It’s a tough schedule at the start of the season and we’re just trying to make sure we through it without any injuries.”
Ardley has no other injury concerns going into tomorrow’s game – and despite a winless start to the season after three games, he says they will not shirk their responsibilities.
“This is the time to stick together because the games will not get any easier,” he said.
“We won’t bury our head in the sand, we will just try to do what we have to do to get that first point.”
