Crystal Palace loanee David Ozoh is set for an extended spell on the sidelines at Championship Derby County after sustaining a quad injury during his recovery from a hamstring problem.
Ozoh, 19, has not featured for the Rams since mid-September, missing their last six games.
Before falling to a hamstring injury, Ozoh had started all of Derby’s five league matches, scoring once in a 3-0 win over Bristol City.
In his first senior loan spell, the Palace academy graduate is now expected to miss all four of Derby’s games ahead of the November international break.
Rams boss Paul Warne shared: “He’s had a setback. I was partially aware of it on Tuesday but I didn’t know the severity so I wasn’t going to come out after the game and say; it wasn’t the time either.
“He has had a setback, he’s damaged his quad, which is disappointing because that was his last day [of recovery]. He had two last days with the physical team before he joined the squad training today.
“We definitely won’t see him before the international break, that’s for sure, so that is a massive blow.
“He’s obviously devastated because realistically by the time he comes back, that’s two and a half months we’ve been without him.”
