Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has urged his academy prospects to "be themselves" when stepping up to the first team.

The Eagles have nine players ruled out of tomorrow's league match against Fulham, with the bench at Selhurst Park expected to consist of youth.

Justin Devenny could be awarded his first appearance in red and blue, while Asher Agbinone is likely to receive minutes, given the shortage of options in attack.

Agbinone, 20, who was given nine minutes against Nottingham Forest last month, is the only academy prospect to have featured for the Eagles this season.

Alongside Agbinone's brief cameo, Caleb Kphora, Kaden Rodney, Devenny and the now-injured Franco Umeh have all been included in squads this term but have not yet managed to make it onto the pitch.

However, in light of Palace's injury crisis, tomorrow's visit of Fulham could force the Europa League-winning coach to award more substantial minutes to his academy graduates.

Pondering the complexion of his squad, Glasner shared that he has complete faith in his younger players.

"I want them to be themselves," Glasner admitted.

"I want them to show why they are in our academy and why they are training with the first team.

"They have talent, they have qualities, and they are great guys.

"I want them to take risks in the game. I want them to show how good they can be.

"I want them not to be worried about making mistakes. This is what they really do well in the training sessions.

"Everybody who will play, everybody who gets minutes has our full trust.

"We are really convinced that they can help the team we need."
