Oliver Glasner has revealed that Adam Wharton is progressing well in his recovery from groin surgery.
The 20-year-old went under the knife at the beginning of November after relying on painkillers to get through matches.
Following the operation, Wharton, who returned from the European Championship's with the issue, posted on Instagram labelling the surgery “a success”.

Providing an update on his £20m midfielder, Crystal Palace boss Glasner shared that the England international is back running and could return in time to face Manchester City in early December.
“The first week was tough like it is after surgery and pain,” Glasner said.
“He improved a lot this week. He was starting to run and be outside on the pitch.
“It’s also positive that the pain is not where he had it before - it’s now more from the surgery.
“This is a positive when you can find positive things after surgery.
“Newcastle will be too early, but maybe the week after.”
