Harlequins winger Ugo Monye will replace Shane Williams in the Lions team to play the Southern Kings this afternoon with the Welshman missing out through illness.
The 26-year-old is tipped to start against South Africa on Saturday and could cement his place with a decent performance as coach Ian McGeechan's men go in search of their sixth tour victory.
Williams, who has a stomach bug, has been switched to the bench and is now unlikely to make the weekend's first Test in Durban.
