Sutton United and Brentford will contest a new trophy when they meet in a pre-season friendly at Gander Green Lane on Wednesday, July 22 (7.45pm).
The President’s Cup will be awarded in memory of Andrew Letts, who was Sutton’s president until he died just before the start of last season aged 93.
His 70-year association with the club featured spells as chairman of both the football club and limited company and it is hoped members of his family will present the trophy.
The fact that Brentford provide the opposition is fitting as their manager Andy Scott made nearly 100 appearances for Sutton before joining Sheffield United in 1992.
Admission is £10 (senior citizens £5, juniors £3), while Sutton season tickets will be valid for the game.
