Brentford boss Andy Scott has hinted he could keep an eye on Sutton United’s Bentley Graham up until the start of the coming League One and Ryman League campaigns.
The 18-year-old midfelder has been on trial with the Bees this summer - appearing in defeats at Staines Town and Farnborough Town - and could line-up against boss Paul Doswell’s men on July 22.
Graham did not feature in Brentford’s 3-1 home defeat to Roy Keane’s Ipswich Town this week, but League Two title winning manager Scott has not ruled out keeping him beyond next week.
And he admits he is keeping close tabs on the youngster’s progress at his former club.
“We’ve got the Sutton game coming up straight after Crystal Palace (July 21) and then there is the Croydon game on the 25th, so I’m pretty sure he’ll get more opportunities,” he said.
“We didn’t put him in against Ipswich because we didn’t think it was fair to do that and we didn’t want to put too much pressure on him. He is only a youngster.
“He has come in and trained very well with us and he is someone we will be keeping an eye on.”
