Quins juniors Rob Buchanan, Charlie Matthews and Sam Stuart starred as England U18s ran out comfortable winners in the second match of their South Africa tour, beating Western Province 95-0 at Rondebosch Boys School.

Head Coach John Fletcher's side scored a total of 15 tries with 10 being converted by George Ford (Leicester Tigers/Rishworth School).

In torrential rain England opened their account as early as the second minute when Matt Everard (Leicester Tigers/Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth 1st) crashed over after good work in the line out with George Ford kicking his first conversion of the day.

Everard added a second try with further first half scores from Owen Farrell (Saracens/St. George's School), Ben Glynn (Bristol Rugby/Filton Rugby), Marcus Watson (London Irish/St. Georges College), Andy Short (Worcester Warriors/Worcester 6th form college) and Rob Buchanan (Harlequins/St. Bedes School) all crossing the line to give England a healthy 43-0 advantage at half time.

England started the second half as they finished the first with an early try this time from Christian Wade (London Wasps/RGS High Wycombe) before Ben Glynn scored his second try of the day a minute later.

Sam Stuart (Harlequins/Sedbergh School) scored England's tenth try of the game after just 40 minutes before Christian Wade completed his brace two minutes later.

England continued to press a weakened Western Province side who were missing a number of players due to call ups for the South Africa schools side they play on Friday and made light of the conditions scoring a further four tries in a ten minute period before the referee stopped the game with five minutes to go because of the weather conditions.

Jake Sharp (Saracens/Oaklands College) scored two tries in the space of three minutes before Charlie Matthews (Harlequins/Hurstpeirpoint College) and Andy Short, completing his own double added the final two tries of the afternoon.

George Ford kicked the final conversion to give England a comprehensive 95-0 win.

England Head Coach John Fletcher said "We played well today and although Western Province were a bit underpowered due to the players they lost to South Africa Schools I was pleased with our handling and good decision making. Most things we tried came off and I thought the referee had an excellent game letting both teams play and the game flow."

England U18 Captain Alex Gray (Newcastle Falcons/Barnard Castle) said "The first game against Boland was tough but we always said we'd score more tries when our game clicked and it did today. To play the way we did, in very difficult conditions was excellent."

Gray who has also captained the North U16, England U16 and Barnard Castle added "We're now all looking forward to the South Africa schools game on Friday. It will be a very tough test for us.

"It's important that we continue to prepare well and we'll be aiming to finish the tour and the season with a win."

England U18 play South Africa Schools at the TWK Park stadium in Kimberley at 4pm (BST) on Friday, August 7.
