A fired-up Terry Brown admits he is spoilt for choice ahead of AFC Wimbledon’s big opening-day test against Luton Town.
Barring a minor knock to midfielder Kennedy Adjei, Brown has a clean bill of health at Kingsmeadow as preparations heat up for the visit of the Hatters.
And the Dons boss accepts it is a pleasant surprise.
Brown said: “We have had an absolutely wonderful pre-season on that score.
“Usually during the summer you can expect one or two injuries but it has not been the case this year.
“I have the side and the formation I want to play in my mind, and it is great being able to do that without injuries looming over the club.”
Kingsmeadow has been swarming with camera crews this week as Sky Sports, the BBC and ITV have all eagerly sought interviews and insight into Terry Brown’s men.
And the veteran boss insisted it was nothing less than he expected.
He added: “It is part and parcel of the modern game so we are not surprised.
“And, after all, we are not playing some small non-league side that have done well, we are playing Luton.
“They are the biggest club in this division and you would expect the coverage.”
One player who will not be featuring though will be Callum Morrisen after the striker returned to the Isle of Man after his trial this week.
And Brown only had good things to say about the forward.
He added: “Callum came over here for four days and he did extremely well in that time.
“But he was not up to our fitness levels - he could have reached them but that would have taken a massive commitment.
“He has a good life back on the Isle of Man - he has a good job, as does his girlfriend.
“So it would have been a massive decision for him to come over here and I wish him all the best in the future.”
