Harlequins hooker Gary Botha will quit the club after Saturday's clash with Bath after negotiating an early release from his contract in order return to South Africa with his family.
The 27-year-old South African World Cup winner will leave after two successful seasons at the Stoop and head coach John Kingston admitted he will be a tough act to follow "I am personally very saddened to see Gary departing us for South Africa," he said.
"He has been an integral part of the recent success of Quins.
"Equally, the club understands his situation and were clearly happy to facilitate his return back home."
And Botha has vowed to keep track of his former team mates as they bid toreverse a shocking start to the campaign, which saw them avoid defeat for the first time this season in Friday's 17-17 draw at Newcastle.
"I have clearly enjoyed my time at Quins and it is with a heavy heart that I will be leaving," he added.
"I would like to place on record my gratitude to Quins for agreeing to my situation and allowing an early release from my contract.
"I have made many friends in my time at the club and will watch with interest the progress of the team."
