Ugo Monye is among England rugby’s young guns who have joined Armed Forces heroes in featuring in a new calendar.
Cover star Monye features alongside Lance Corporal Matthew Croucher, who was awarded the George Cross last year for extreme valour in risking his life to safeguard the lives of his comrades.
The Quins ace spent a day at Sandhurst with several other young England rugby stars, receiving a masterclass in marksmanship from the Army’s crack riflemen before engaging in a shooting tournament.
The aim of the calendar is to raise £150,000 for Help For Heroes and Combat Stress.
Other players to featue are Tom Croft, Anthony Allen, Delon and Steffon Armitage, Ryan Lamb, Luke Narraway, Ollie Morgan, Topsy Ojo, Miarcel Garvey, Nick Abendenon, Matt Banahan and Dominic Waldouck.
The calendar will be stocked by the RFU at its two stores at Twickenham, and on the RFU website.
