Harlequins’ home fixture with Bath on Saturday, which resulted in a 13-11 win for the hosts, also marked the introduction of the new “fast pour” stadium dispense equipment into the Kings and Players Lounge bars in the Etihad Stand.
The Fastpour system reduces pint pour time by just under a third from 22 seconds to nine seconds, getting fans back to their seats quicker to ensure they don’t miss any action.
Quins chief executive Mark Evans said, “We are delighted and extremely grateful for Greene King’s investment to help improve the facilities we offer our fans at the Twickenham Stoop.
“Bar waiting times are always an issue in sports stadia, especially just before kick-off and at half-time, and the new fast-pour system will provide our supporters with a much improved service in the future.”
Joe Parks, free trade director for Greene King Brewing Company, said: “We are delighted that through feedback from the Harlequins supporters we have been able to deliver this fantastic new Fastpour system which will mean fans spend less time queuing at the bar and more time in their seats watching the game.”
Greene King has also made considerable investment in the Stoop’s new South Stand, which opened for the first time this Saturday.
The South Stand will boast a new and improved Quins Head - Harlequins very own cask ale bar - which should be unveiled to fans on Saturday, October 17, when Harlequins host Toulouse in the Heineken Cup.
