England women’s captain Faye White is to attend Sutton United’s women and girls’ day on Saturday, February 13.
Women will be admitted free to United’s home game with Hastings United on there day and there will also be games, competitions and goody bags.
Organiser Tony Henderson-Smith said: “The day will also be used to publicise the new Sutton United Football Development Plan which amongst many other things pays particular attention to the development of women and girls' football.
Saturday is all about fun football games, coaching sessions and skills competitions with prizes, trophies and lots of goody bags.
There is a 5 a side tournament on the Sunday.
Chairman, Bruce Elliott said: “We are really enthusiastic about the two days and hope that the event will introduce more female players to the club and encourage those that are at present not playing to start.
“This is all part of the Club’s Football Development Plan which is nearing approval by the FA and we hope it will form a springboard to encourage more women and girls to become involved with the Club at all levels.
“We are particularly excited because if all goes to plan on the Saturday there will also be a chance to meet a legendary England women’s footballer.”
