AFc Wimbledon were handed a huge promotion boost this morning when the Football Conference voted to expel Chester City from the league.
The Surrey Comet believes clubs will have their results against Chester removed from the record books - a decison which will aid the Dons' play-off hopes.
Whereas Wimbledon have played City once this season, and lost, Stevenage have beaten Chester twice, as have Mansfield.
Luton Town are set to lose two points, York City three and Rushden & Diamonds one, moving the Dons up the table and closing them in on the sides above them.
The situation is expected to be ratified over the weekend.
