Brentford midfielder David Hunt says there will be no let up in the search for points, despite the Bees nearing League One safety.
Boss Andy Scott has earmarked 52 points as the target to be certain of avoiding the drop back in to the Football League basement.
And Hunt insists the squad has plenty to play for even if they pass that target over the next three games.
“I hate losing. I think most of the lads do, if not all of them,” he said.
“We’ve got bonus schemes and stuff to think about, so there is still plenty to play for as far as we are concerned.
“On top of that we are building for next season. It is a chance for us to set a good standard so we know where we have to get to next year.
“There is not one person thinking we’re safe and going through motions. Everyone has got their mind set on the next game to make sure they do their job right.”
Brentford have collected some impressive results in their first season since winning the League Two title and are set to secure a comfortable mid-table finish.
And Hunt, who has perhaps not played as many games as he would have liked, reckons the return can only be viewed as a success.
“We’ve done really well particularly considering some of the teams and budgets at other clubs.
“We’ve held our own, especially at home. Teams are going to know they’re not going to find it easy on our ground next season, which is a good base to build on.”
