Bees boss Andy Scott has warned his players Leyton Orient will pose as much of a threat as Premier League Everton on Friday.
Brentford come back to reality after Tuesday’s Carling Cup shock, with a trip to Brisbane Road where they are looking to extend a five-match unbeaten run.
And Scott, who rates the penalty shoot-out triumph over the Toffeemen as the biggest result of his managerial career, reckons his men will be ready for a return to more mundane League One surroundings.
“It is a London derby, so we should be up for it,” he said.
“Orient away is going to be just as hard. Russell Slade has done a terrific job and their league position doesn’t reflect how well they have played.
“It is going to be a tough game, but I’m glad it is under lights, glad it is a derby and we need to take the high of Tuesday in to this game.”
Brentford’s next three games: Sept 24 Leyton Orient (a), 28 Brighton & Hove Albion (a), Oct 2 Charlton Athletic (h).
