Harlequins fly-half Nick Evans reckons fans have only seen a glimpse of what Argentinean winger Gonzalo Camacho is capable of.
The 26-year-old bagged his first try for the club in his second season at the Stoop having spent much of last year on the treatment table with a recurring hamstring problem.
Camacho was a threat all afternoon as Quins notched their first Aviva Premiership win of the season with a 40-13 triumph over league new boys Exeter Chiefs.
And Evans, who delivered a kicking masterclass with 20 points of his own, believes there is more to come from him and the squad.
“It was great to see Gonzo out there and he really deserved his man of the match award, especially for his defence,” he said.
“Every time he had the ball in his hand it looked like he could make something happen.
“He has been really unlucky with his injuries, but has remained confident and upbeat throughout. He got the opportunity and has taken it with both hands.
“We’ve shown in glimpses the style of rugby we can play, but we put it together for 80 minutes at the weekend.
“We’ve improved our discipline and our precision and that can only continue to bet better the more we play together.”
Former All Black Evans recently signed a new two-year extension to his Quins contract to keep him at the club until at least 2013.
But the 30-year-old insists he is not simply marking time while he enjoys himself in the Capital.
“I’m here to win trophies and that is my major goal,” he added.
“We are not here to make the numbers up in any of the competitions and if we can’t do it this year then I would expect us to be mixing with big boys next year and the year after.
“There is a legacy to re-build here and I want to play a major part in that,”
Quins first win has seen them climb the Premiership table to seventh and a win over Newcastle Falcons on Saturday would salvage an otherwise slow start to the campaign.
“The first three games were close, but we didn’t quite get there. Two wins will put a different complexion on the whole thing,” said Evans.
“They will be hurting and up for a fight. It is important to back up the Exeter game with another win.
“If we play the style we know we can, no-one can touch us.”
Meanwhile, scrum-half Karl Dickson has agree a two-year extension to his contract having made 21 appearances for the club since switching to the Stoop from Bedford in 2009.
Quins next three games: Oct 2 Newcastle Falcons (h), 10 Bayonne (ACup, a), 19 I Cavalieri Estra (ACup, h).
