Mark Hughes has called for calm at Craven Cottage after Fulham eased themselves out of the Premier League relegation places with a win over West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
The 3-0 triumph in London rocketed the Cottagers from 18th to 13th as Fulham won for the second time in three games.
And Hughes expects the midweek result to end talk of a crisis.
He said: “Hopefully this settles everybody down and we can get on with our business.
“We know we are a good side and if you look at our games this season nobody has really dominated us.
“We all felt we needed a bit of a break to get things going as the ball has not been running for us so this could be the start.
“We were all getting a bit frustrated as our performances were deserving a lot more points than we had on the board, so this should put that to bed.”
Simon Davies, Clint Dempsey and Brede Hangeland were on target against the Baggies in a convincing display.
And the Fulham boss felt his side were well worthy of the scoreline.
Hughes added: “To get three points, a clean sheet and start climbing the table has to be a good night’s work.
“I thought 3-0 was the right result and I do not really think it flattered us.
“They were missing a few guys at the back and it was an opportunity for us that we took.”
The January transfer window is a source of feverish speculation at this time as teams jockey for an advantage.
And Hughes admits the Cottagers may be on the lookout for signings of their own.
He added: “I think we are like most teams in that regard.
“If the opportunity presents itself to get the right player at the right price of course we will be interested.
“We will be having conversations with people and if something develops then we will have a good think about it.”
Fulham’s next three matches: Jan 8 Peterborough United (FAC, h), 15 Wigan (a), 22 Stoke (h)
