The season may only have finished five days ago but already Paul Doswell has taken action to prepare Sutton United for life in Blue Square South.
The Ryman Premier-winning manager has added to his backroom staff by bringing in former Scottish international midfielder Paul Telfer to work alongside Steve McKimm and Alan Payne.
''Steve McKimm has developed as an excellent coach over the last three years," Doswell told the club's official website.
"But, there is so much to be done as we move up to the next level that I wanted to give greater depth to the coaching set-up here.
"With his experience of nearly 600 senior games, international football and the Champions' League it is a great coup to get Paul to provide assistance to Steve, Alan and myself.''
The champions, who ended their season with a 1-0 defeat at Billericay Town on Saturday, have announced their first friendly for next year, at Ryman League Division One South champions Metropolitan Police on August 6.
Midfielder Kennedy Adjei will not be part of the squad for next season as he has decided to return to his native Ghana.
