Harelquins chief Conor O’Shea has warned there will be no rest for his England stars should they go all the way to the World Cup final in October.
Nick Easter, Chris Robshaw, Danny Care and Ugo Monye are currently part of team boss Martin Johnson’s 45-man World Cup training squad and will find out on August 22 whether they have made the final cut.
If selected they will be on international duty in New Zealand until October 26 should Johnson’s men reach the final.
And O’Shea will expect his men to report back for duty at the Stoop within a week.
“It is pretty well documented that when England won in 2003 the players were back in action the week after,” he said.
