Brentford have added former Aston Villa starlet Harry Forrester to their squad after the attacking midfielder signed a two-year-deal yesterday.

The 20-year-old, released by the Midlands club this summer, was on trial with the Bees earlier in pre-season before chancing his hand at Dutch champions Ajax, where he reportedly refused a contract.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Kilmarnock.

Manager Uwe Rosler said: “When he is fully fit and learns how we want to play, he can be very important for us both now and in the future. He can give us goals from midfield.”
