Tooting & Mitcham boss Jamie Martin slammed his team after they almost threw away a 3-0 lead against Whitstable Town.
Goals from Carl Wilson-Dennis, Taurean Roberts and Trevor Lowe had the Terrors in command at half-time in the Ryman League Division One South clash at Imperial Fields.
However, Whitstable staged a fight-back that almost cost Martin’s men three points and the new permanent Terrors manager cut a strip of his charges at full time.
“As good as we were in the first half, we were very disappointing in the second half,” he said.
“We took our foot off the pedal and I was very annoyed at the attitude and lack of desire the lads showed. You cannot afford to relax in this league, never.
“I told them in no uncertain terms that a performance like the second half was not acceptable.”
The Terrors go to Met Police in the London County Cup on Wednesday night, before returning to league action with a trip to Worthing.
