Tooting & Mitcham midfielder Lee Hall says it is business as usual after manager Jamie Martin resigned last week.
Assistant manager Phil Simpson led the Terrors to a 4-0 win at Whistable Town on Saturday – goals from Hall, Karl Wilson-Dennis, Bamoussa Cisse and Anthony Joseph did the damage – after being put in caretaker charge by chairman Bill Hill.
Martin walked out after refusing to accept cuts to the player budget of 33 per cent, while Mr Hill stated the cuts were necessary to secure the club’s future.
But Hall, pictured below, insists this second change of manager inside four months has not affected the team.
He said: “The club is the same as it was. Phil knows the boys and we all know him. It is not as if a new manager is coming in and sweeping away loads of players, bringing his own players.
“I hope Phil will be with us until the end of the season.
“It was sad to hear Jamie had resigned, but the boys are happy to play for Phil.”
