The future of Tooting & Mitcham has been thrown further into doubt after Bill Hill resigned as chairman.
Hill has been negotiating between owner Steve Adkins and the members club over a possible takeover of the club but has now stepped aside due to business commitments that will keep him out of the country while the club tries to organise next season.
Chris Wooley has now been placed in temporary charge but with the protracted takeover still dragging on without a resolution, the Terrors have no pre-season friendlies arranged, no manager in charge and no players.
Phil Simpson ended last season as manager but still has no idea whether he will be in place when Ryman Division One South kicks off in less than two months time.
