Carshalton Athletic boss Stuart Massey is preparing to take on his former employers this weekend, with a promise of heaping the pressure on his old friends.
The Robins host Whyteleafe on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) in Ryman Division One South action, with both sides looking to bounce back from mid-week defeats.
Carshalton went down 4-1 at Whitstable, while Leafe lost 4-3 at home to Horsham.
Massey has two spells as Leafe boss in an association with the club that lasted 10 years, but he is now looking to put feelings to one side.
He said: “Whyteleafe let in a few goals midweek so I want us to put them under pressure from the off.
“It should be a cracking game however and I’m looking forward to it.”
Brendan Murphy-McVey's third goal in three games on Tuesday at Whitstable was scant consolation for Robins, who missed the chance to move above their hosts.
“We didn’t compete as well as we can but, despite missing several key players, it was the goals we conceded right on and just after half-time which ultimately killed us,” said boss Massey.
“If we could have got in level at the break then perhaps we could have gone on to earn something.
“But it's a big learning curve for all of us here. As well as we did last Saturday, the players also have to learn the lessons from a disappointing defeat.”
He added: “In terms of the table [Robins are 13th], may be we deserve to be two or three points better off but where we are is fair,” he added.
“I want to get a fully fit squad to see what we could really do. We’ve not been able to name an unchanged line up once this season.”
