Kingstonian boss Tommy Williams has been left frustrated by a lack of football as he attempts to turn the season around.
Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Enfield Town means Ks have won just twice in 11 Ryman Premier League games at Kingsmeadow this season.
Williams was convinced that Ks had kicked started their season two weeks ago when they recorded the second of those wins (3-1 against Met Police).
However, Ks had to wait 12 days for their next share of the action, ending in that 1-0 defeat to Enfield.
Williams had organised a friendly at Chipstead on Tuesday night – only for it to fall foul of the weather.
He said: “We had a good performance against Met Police. We thought we’d turned the corner and then we went a long time without another game.
Kingstonian fail to fire at home, again
“It’s been stop-start both in terms of our performances and our fixtures. Momentum and confidence are huge at this level of football.”
He added: “We haven’t been able to build those up and that’s down to ourselves and the games being called off – a prime example being Monday night’s at home to Lewes being called off.”
Ks are back in league action on Saturday at Dulwich Hamlet.
