Brentford keeper Mark Smith will give Hampton & Richmond Borough number one Seb Brown some serious competition for his shirt, says boss Alan Dowson.
The 19-year-old returned to the Beveree today on a one month loan from the Championship's form club and is expected to be in the squad heading to Wingate & Finchley tonight.
Smith kept four cleansheets in 22 starts for the Beavers last term and his arrival is designed to keep ex-AFC Wimbledon shotstopper Brown on his toes.
"Everyone in the team needs competition for their place, and I don't think Seb has had that so far this season," said manager Dowson.
"Mark was keen to return and we are glad for him to come back.
"Whoever starts in the game against Wingate & Finchley, it is their shirt to lose. Both are quality keepers and either could start."
