Ks striker Andre McCollin says Alan Turvey Trophy success can breath new life into his side's Ryman Premier League promotion hopes.
The former Aldershot Town frontman bagged a match winning double in Monday's 2-1 triumph over play-off rivals Bognor Regis Town.
The win, coupled with Saturday's 2-2 draw with relegated Lewes at Kingsmeadow, means boss Tommy Williams' men are unbeaten in their past three matches prior to tomorrow night's cup final at Carshalton Athletic.
Ks will face Ryman Division One South play-off chasers Faversham Town at Colston Avenue and McCollin believes landing some silverware will only help his side's cause as they chase down a top five finish.
"If we win all our games between now and the end of the season then we will be all right for a play-off place and that is how we are looking at it," he said after taking his Ks goal tally to 12 in 15 appearances since rejoining the club in January.
"We have got a game in hand over Dulwich Hamlet and if we win that we will go above them.
"The moral is really good in the dressing room and getting a trophy before the season has even ended will give everyone a lift.
"We will be buzzing if we win the cup and that will definitely help us to get into the play-offs."
Joe Turner is cup-tied for Wednesday's clash, but McCollin believes Ks have the depth to cope without the former Met Police midfielder.
"Joe works very hard for the team and we understand each other's game very well," he added.
"He knows the sort of runs I'm going to make and he knows the sort of pass I'm looking for - it works well.
"The fact he is cup-tied will be a miss, but we have a strong squad and we should be OK."
