Assistant boss Graham Harper says Kingstonian are in no rush to fill their squad with fresh faces for next season.
There has been no movement with regards new arrivals at Kingsmeadow since Billericay Town's Tom Derry signed last month - although defender Ryan Newman committed to the coming campaign last night.
Boss Tommy Williams will be operating on an even tighter budget than last term as he bids to erase the memory of missing out on the Ryman Premier League play-offs.
And Harper believes Ks will continue to bide their time when it comes to signing fresh talent.
"There are one or two spaces to fill, but we want to make sure we get the right people in," he said.
"We don't want to commit to one person only to see someone better become available later on.
"In terms of the budget, it is going to be much harder this season and we will have a tighter squad than last term.
"The loan market is something we are looking at because financially it suits us - clubs tend to only want us to cover expenses - and that doesn't become clear for a while yet.
"We are happy with what we have. Tommy is talking to players all the time, but we are not going to jump straight in at the drop of a hat."
